Appendix B Comedy
DAY 112: Open the newspaper and try your hand at topical writing.
I chose a recent article from today’s news, and not an actual newspaper because “what’s that?! hahaha, am I right or am I right? Right? haha, right? ahem.” The article was “Will Verizon throw its weight behind Windows Phone?”
Funny.  Windows Phone.  It’s funny.  I love how Windows tries to keep up with Apple anymore.  It’s actually quite pathetic.  I mean, we all grew up on PCs and for awhile, they were fine for our cause: Word and King’s Quest games.  But now it’s to the point where it’s just sad.  Their stock plummeted along with their customers.  I bought some stock and yeah it’s up because there are only 2 players in the computer game. But still, it’s sad how Bill Gates never had a vision quite like Jobs.  He knew what was practical, but never really cool or exciting.  Then viruses came along, lack of media production capabilities, the stupid Justin Long commercials.  I just felt that when you compare 2 CEOs, some people like leaders who are visionaries or hypothesizers, while other companies like a cut and dry numbers man.  Well, Steve Jobs was the visionary who thought up shit that was fun to have in your hands.  Shit that feels fun when you’re flipping and swiping shit around on your phone or iPad.  And now back to the point about the Windows Phone.  It’s a phone that can dial out, play games and music and search the Internet.  But does it let you play King’s Quest?  Probably not.  If it does and you know it for sure, then you probably don’t get it anyway.  I’ll stick to the iPhone.
